I am deeply saddened by the passing of my former colleague, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, former Governor of Kogi State.
Alhaji Idris and I came into office as governors in the same year, 2003. He went on to lead Kogi State for nearly nine years and remained a respected voice in the state’s affairs long after he left office. I will also always be thankful for the support and encouragement he showed me over the years.
As the nation mourns his passing, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, the Government and people of Kogi State, and all who knew and loved him. May Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannah Firdaus and give his loved ones strength and comfort at this difficult time. Ameen.
The Nigerian government is so cruel that they will patiently wait for you to figure things out yourself, and come when they feel you are fairly stable to drain you.
They never mind the number of times you tried and failed.
