Funny watching all the right-wingers on X who claim to care so deeply about Canadian history and culture make excuses for Donald Trump calling Lake Ontario “Lake America” because apparently it’s no big deal.

These are often the same people who lose their minds when a Canadian city changes the name of a street or park to an Indigenous name because they say we’re supposedly “erasing our history.”

Apparently changing a Canadian place name to recognize Indigenous heritage is an outrage when Canadians do it.

When Donald Trump changes a Canadian place name to honour his own ego, it’s merely a “distraction.”
