One gear has also shrunk on its hub and split badly, locking up the spider gears. Fix here is to heat/melt the bore and glue, or 3D print a new gear, or buy a $100 set of brass gears from a dude in India.

Time to take the ol’ HP 8640B apart and work on the gears and switches.

Don’t have a capacitor leak tester, but I have a power supply, resistor to limit current, and microammeter. 2-3 uA leakage for a new Rubycon 16V 820uF.
