The record-breaking 16-megawatt turbine is located in Chinaโs Guangdong province and sits an astonishing 70 km from shore, marking a significant breakthrough in wind-generated energy tech for the country.
The new turbine combines a series of China-made technology, including an improved mooring system, an active ballast system, and AI-monitoring.

Today, we celebrate a life that has refused to bow to dictatorship. A man who chose conviction over comfort. That he sits, languishing in jail on his 70th birthday, is yet another reminder of how much he has had to sacrifice for the sake of our country and its people.
Sending out revolutionary birthday greetings to Dr. Kizza Besigye Kifefe. May his sacrifice never go in vain. May he live long enough to see the kind of Uganda he has wholeheartedly fought for.
Those who pray are aware of their own limitations; they do not kill or threaten with death. Instead, death enslaves those who have turned their backs on the living God, turning themselves and their own power into a mute, blind and deaf idol (Ps 115:4โ8), to which they sacrifice every value, demanding that the whole world bend its knee. Enough of the idolatry of self and money! Enough of the display of power! Enough of war! True strength is shown in serving life. #Peace
Your Excellency, allow us to comment on this post in which we are of the view that it has missed a few important chapters of international law:
1. Aggression originates from the U.S. and the Israeli regime use of regional water, air and land territories: Based on Article 3(f) of the UN General Assembly Resolution 3314 (XXIX) (Definition of Aggression, 14 December 1974), โThe action of a State in allowing its territory, which it has placed at the disposal of another State, to be used by that other State for perpetrating an act of aggression against a third Stateโ constitutes aggression. For months, we had warned neighboring countriesโparticularly those along the Persian Gulfโthat any aggression from their soil against Iran would be met with our inherent right to selfโdefense. Despite their denials, numerous attacks against Iran have been launched from U.S. bases in these countries, a small example being the downing of three military aircraft in Kuwait.
2. Violation of Article 2(4) of the UN Charter: The United States and the Israeli regime have violated Article 2(4) , which requires all Members to โrefrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state.โ Their military aggression against Iranโs sovereignty and territorial integrity is the root cause of the current crisis.
3. Iranโs response is lawful, legitimate selfโdefense: Our response has been strictly in exercise of our inherent right to selfโdefense, consistent with international law and the principles of proportionality, necessity, and discrimination. Operations have targeted only military bases and assets of the aggressors. After these military installations were struck, enemy military personnel and forces fled into hotels and civilian centers, taking innocent civilians as hostagesโa gross violation of the law of armed conflict.
4. The Strait of Hormuz: prior freedom of navigation & current restrictions: Before the U.S.โIsraeli regime military aggression against Iranโs territorial integrity and sovereignty, the Strait of Hormuz was open to all countries. Any current disruption to Persian Gulf security or maritime traffic is a direct consequence of that aggression, and full responsibility lies with the aggressors. As the coastal state, Iran has introduced necessary restrictions to ensure safe passage. Vessels belonging to nonโbelligerent countries may conduct innocent passage in coordination with Iran. Clearly, vessels of belligerent partiesโespecially the U.S. and the terrorist Israeli regime, as well as those serving their interestsโcannot use this waterway.
5. Call on all free and independent nations: The Islamic Republic of Iran expects all free and independent nations to stand on the right side of history and condemn the aggressors. We reaffirm our readiness for diplomatic solutions based on mutual respect and international law, but will not hesitate to defend our sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security.
