Forgive me for this post. I am not conspiratorial, nor do I ever want to stare down that rabbit hole, let alone go into it. BUT - if a guy with massive power becomes so disordered and panicked that he can't emotionally endure ANY public perception of ANY fallibility on something as trivial as a refurbished reflecting pool, and would THEN go so far as to fabricate stories of vandalism, and THEN try to legitimize the fabrications themselves by harassing and detaining innocent citizens, wouldn't that same person be capable of fabricating the suicide of someone trapped in a prison cell who could implicate him in heinous crimes?
Donald had a temper tantrum on national television and walked out of an interview simply because Kristen Welker presented him with a basic fact.
Note to other journalists: now is the time to pile on. He won't be able to handle it.
After watching Trump melt down in narcissistic rage this morning, I’m close to saying that the entire U.S. government needs to be impeached for allowing this poseur to remain in office for even one more day.
No nation in history has ever had a more mentally ill leader.
I believe, more than ever, Trump needs to be chided, insulted, and laughed at. His ability to let things go, is nil. We saw that this morning.
He's narcissistically battered, severely ill, and increasingly paranoid. He's consumed by rage, fear, malice, and impulsiveness inherent to his aberrant psychopathology. He's physically weakened by disease. His massive energy swings portend to increased medication to treat neurological diminishment. And his recalibration periods are longer.
He feels the sand exiting his hourglass.
He's distrusted and ineffective on the world stage, crazed by bad economic indicators at home, and panicky at the prospects of losing the midterms.
His math is 6th grade level - one grade above his vocabulary - as he keeps repeating idiocies. His myth is now being sustained only by gaslighting and puffery.
And when he is challenged, he comes off poorly. He is, like always, terrified of humiliation.
It's our collective obligation - Dems, Ind's, the media, business leaders, sane people - to challenge him more.
The election was not rigged - he lost.
America is not more respected under him, it's more reviled.
His war in Iran was strategically asinine. The deal he will be forced to make will be worse than Obama's.
Epstein is a massive cover-up.
His polls are in the toilet.
Celebs and artists want no part of him.
His name is toxic.
Nobody trusts him.
I used to think Nixon, then W Bush were the worst presidents but omg Trump is by far THE failed president of my lifetime. I just hope we can stop him from destroying the entire country
A message to all sane Republicans:
He pardoned 1,600 violent criminals.
You said nothing.
He bulldozed the East Wing.
You said nothing.
He interfered with the release of the Epstein files. You said nothing.
He took over the Kennedy Center and renamed it after himself. You said nothing.
He accepted a $400 million airplane as a personal gift. You said nothing.
He threatened Canada, Cuba, Denmark, Greenland, Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil. You said nothing.
He tariffed just about everyone but Russia, causing inflation and instability worldwide. You said nothing.
He attacked a nation during mediated negotiations. You said nothing.
His ill-conceived war killed 175 children on day one. You said nothing.
He alienated and insulted our allies. You said nothing.
His ICE Army terrorized and murdered U.S. citizens. You said nothing.
He committed murder on the high seas. You said nothing.
He co-opted the Justice Department and directed it to prosecute his political enemies. You said nothing.
It’s time to start talking.
There are people who get drunk and expound sports opinions over-emphatically. There are people who get drunk and reminisce emotionally about an ex. If you get drunk and let loose about the Jews - the problem you have is not a drinking problem.
Trump breaks the law every day.
He violates the Constitution every day.
He defiles the office of President every day.
He disgraces America every day.
Trump insults humanity every day.
Donald Trump is a moral degenerate and soulless monster.
He belongs in prison for his crimes.
The Electoral College decides who becomes president, not the popular vote. No matter who individual voters in places like Louisiana choose, the candidate with the majority wins all the state's electoral votes.
When the Electoral College was created, it included the Three-Fifths Compromise, which counted enslaved Black people as three-fifths of a person for the purpose of determining a state’s total population. This gave extra electoral votes to states with slavery, which made a big difference.
In the Election of 1800, Thomas Jefferson (a slaveholder) beat John Adams (an abolitionist) largely because of the additional electoral votes Southern states gained through the three-fifths clause.
“Donald Trump won the presidency because of two artifacts of slavery: the electoral college and our post-Reconstruction legacy of state voter suppression and disenfranchisement efforts. The electoral college was created in the Constitution to protect the interests of slave owners. And current voter suppression efforts are a direct legacy of white efforts to prevent Blacks from voting after the Fifteenth Amendment prohibited race discrimination in voting.“ — Perea (2018)
Besides Donald Trump, George Bush, Benjamin Harrison, and Rutherford B. Hayes all became president without winning the majority of the popular vote. This system is anti-democratic and continues to empower white Southerners at the expense of Black Southerners.
There’s no real case here against James Comey. Trump knows it.
This isn’t about winning. It’s about the spectacle, the cameras, the legal bills, and toll on Comey and his family.
If this is the playbook, anyone can be targeted. This is retribution.
Comey won’t be the last.
Is it just a coincidence that the DOJ indicted James Comey today after a judge ruled that his daughter Maurene Comey’s termination lawsuit can move forward? 🤔
Probably just a coincidence, huh? Probably also just a coincidence that she was a lead prosecutor on the Epstein case too.
