Dear Kotaku:
Please kick out performative scumbags like this from your workforce
You are a news portal, not someone else's rage bubble. And here I thought journalism is supposed to be objective
This brings nothing but SHAME to anime journalism, and even journalism as a whole
Mat Piscatella on Sony's plan to discontinue physical game media🚀
✅Sony's bet is that many of the gamers who prefer the physical format will end up accepting the digital one.
✅Those who don't end up doing so and stop buying a PlayStation won't be a problem for them, since that loss will be offset by the greater profitability from digital games
My thoughts: When companies are that shameless and lacking in respect for customers, they don’t deserve a cent from you
Once again corporations aren’t your friends, and they will drop you the moment you cease to be profitable
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
If Sony and PlayStation keep going down this path with no real changes, they’re heading straight for trouble.
Woke uglified character designs, overpriced games, and constant restrictions on what players can actually do. It’s the same formula that’s already killing other big publishers.
The audience is getting tired. They want good games, fair prices, and freedom — not lectures and overpriced half-baked experiences.
Keep this up and the console won’t just lose ground. Another company that actually respects the player will take their spot.
Sony better wake up before it’s too late. ⏱️
'CASTLEVANIA' Netflix creator Samuel Deats says all creative industries deserve similar AI protection
"Artists in Japan need to start making noise and speak out. The life's work of every artist in Japan has been stolen by tech companies to profit off of. Fight back. AI is theft"
It’s genuinely depressing that Pokémon is still behind on stuff that was standard as far back as the PS2
Something is seriously wrong with the production of these games
IMPORTANT BREAKING NEWS!!!
I need to raise awareness of this situation ASAP. There's a massive breach that has been happening and its currently being ignored. It can lead to serious issues in the future if left unchecked.
Please share this tweet and like it for the higher ups can fix this serious issue. Now onto what is going on.
I have been contacted by a very credible source confirming the origin of the leaks for multiple anime lately and recently "Mushoku Tensei Season 3 Episode 4" that started to appear on Reddit.
Turns out it's not Crunchyroll causing the leaks. It's actually the Japanese VOD platform "b-ch"
B-ch is a Japanese VOD site ran by Bandai Namco. Yes, the same Bandai Namco with OPM. This is their @/BandaiChannel on Twitter
Now how did the Leak even happen? Here's the details and me explaining everything as best as possible.
In the left image I have attached to this post, is how the episodes are leaking. The highlighted reference id is Mushoku Tensei's reference id aka episode 4 on Bandai Namco's platform.
It shows the VOD container for the leaked episode opening and from there someone can use some simple tools to download the leaked episode. Basically they are accessing their site that has a clear vulnerability
"I know this is technical if you don't know what you're looking at or understand stuff like this"
However this is what has been happening and the reason so many episodes have been leaking lately days before the official release.
Apparently the platform was contacted after episodes started to leak, but they didn't take the warning too serious which led to Mushoku Season 3 Episode 4 being leaked along other new anime shows
My hottest take is that while the environmental impacts of generative AI are awful, to convince people to stop using it, you should talk about how its anti-human. Humans are defined by curiosity, socializing, creativity, all hurt by AI. Also its proven to cause cognitive decline
i don’t think a single person out there asked for dislikes to be removed. this was obviously just done to protect corporations and low quality channels
As an animator myself, I think I speak for everyone when I say if you ever look at a movie or scene like this and go “god I just wish it was in live-action” that’s the most insulting thing you could ever say to any piece of media like this.
