Annamalai was All India 1st in his IPS Cadre. In 2010 when he cleared UPSC, Gen Category cut-off (mains) was 904 & he scored 970. Gen Cat cut-off for mains+interview was 1134 & he scored 1180. DMK can't stomach a farmer reaching heights their first family can only dream of. (1/6)

My take on CAA

it is being repeatedly argued that the proposed CAA law excludes Muslims and srilankan tamils.
As such it is discriminatory
Nothing can be farther from truth!
CAA is a naturalisation process to undo injustice meted out to non-Muslims during partition of India. Hence, it is natural that it doesn't apply to Muslims.
Also, extending citizenship to millions of illegal migrants from neighboring Islamic states of Pakistan, Afghanistan and bangaladesh will defeat the exact purpose of CAA law.
Since, there is difference between "oppressed non Muslim minorities from neighboring Islamic nations seeking refuge in India" &
"illegal muslim immigrants penetrating into Indian border for reasons other than oppression in their own countries"
Extending hands of friendship to the former category is an act of humanity.
Enabling the latter would tantamount to putting country's internal security at grave risk as it would legitimize sinister attempts being made to change demography.

As regards to srilankan tamils, ask anyone amongst them! They would yearn to return to their natural motherland with full rights restored to them. They wouldn't want Indian citizenship. Our country is working closely with srilanka to secure their political rights. The intent and act of CAA would least apply to these persons.

The real reason why political parties tremble at the implementation of CAA is, it would upend attempts made by them to include illegal muslim migrants in electoral process to their advantage thereby delivering a significant blow to their political ambitions. For eg, look at what's happening in west bengal!! The massive influx of rohingya refugees is emboldening the incumbent dispensation to unleash horrific assault on native population and the unequal demographic parameter as a result of influx acts to the advantage of the current government.
