VAT on tea is a big problem. It’s a product 95% exported. VAT on Tea is just adding to the admin burden & will affect cashflow for producers/exporters- making our teas uncompetitive. May to put a lower VAT of say 3-4% if the objective is just to widen and streamline the tax net.
