@QuetzalPhoenix If its a mouth thing, get flavored toothpicks.
If its a burning something thing, get some matches and just light a few.
If its both, get both - maybe burn a toothpick.
@alecsime@riqsz5 I keep a couple thousand in cash on hand, as well as a bit of silver and gold. Emergency funds if all else fails. My parents still keep lots of non-perishable food.
I remember media people mocking the "weird survivalists" for that prior to 2008. Not so much after.
@riqsz5 I was midway through college. My father, who had been employed since he was 16, suddenly lost his job as an engineer willing to travel, and the job shop told them there was no work available anywhere.
They had no work for him for 2 years.
@PubyWax@ObtainerOf I write poetry.
This is not good poetry. There is nothing clever here; nothing that writes a story to followed like a garden to be planted, grown, then bloom, and pass from this good earth. No fragment of that.
Its simply masturbation granted an unwilling audience. Assault.
@embry_ben@PaulSkallas I wouldn't say its trauma; tar from smoking was just everywhere back then. Boomers generally collected tchotchkes and cleaning becomes exponentially more work with every item displayed.
Gen Z can look at photos of Grandma's house and see a cozy place, but Millennials smelled it.
