We've won again!

You've probably already heard the news. £14bn for Sizewell C, meaning that plant - a zero-carbon copy of Hinkley Point C - gets to go ahead. And billions more for Rolls-Royce, so that great British company can move ahead with its SMR programme.

We're not quite celebrating just yet - the so-called 'final investment decision' is set to be announced next month at an Anglo-French summit. We won't stop campaigning until the ink is dry on that agreement. We've waited too long already: the previous Tory government kept promising and did nothing.

"No more dithering, no more delay," said the Prime Minister today - echoing nearly exactly the words of a petition we recently sent to energy secretary @Ed_Miliband demanding that the Government gets a move on with new nuclear build. Rolls-Royce will get the go-ahead for three of its SMRs, according to the company.
