@J_Lovering It would be awesome if they asked for extra resources to get more out if the course (and learn a heck of a lot more beyond the course!) without grades attached to it!
We are also working to further demonstrate the flexibility of our current and future fleet. Nuclear plants’ thermal energy can be used to produce electricity and hydrogen, which could present new market opportunities for nuclear.

Some good news for #nuclear energy in American policy. The #democrats are talking about nuclear energy, for the first time in a long time, as a tool to battle the #climate crisis. Hopefully all of the talking will translate into action. https://t.co/Fixs8hDXpO
@SmrHack@Larissa_Shasko@OECD_NEA Thank you so much :) I have learned a ton in the week that we spent on the workshop, and hope to apply all of the knowledge to support a clean energy future!
@Gen_Atomic There is also some that think solar is "wasteless". There needs to be a real discussion on what to do with the waste processing of solar panels, which contain several hazardous chemicals.
No laws yet to deal with solar panels which contain heavy metals & toxic chemicals like Cadmium Telluride, Copper Indium Selenide, Silicon Tetrachloride, Cadmium Indium Gallium, hexafluoroethane, lead as well glass, plastic & aluminium.
@SmrHack Team 8 we rocked it! Thanks Peter, Ronald & @GarikPatterson for being such an incredible team to work with. What an amazing week of learning, discussions, knowledge sharing and mentorship! #NuclearIsCool
#BREAKING: The Ontario government is closing all publicly-funded schools across the province for two weeks following March break due to concerns about COVID-19. https://t.co/kgQtxyPJm3
Due to the COVID- 19, THE NUTHOS-13 CONFERENCE scheduled for August 23 – 26 at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre, Vancouver, BC has been cancelled. The CNS regrets having to make this difficult decision.
Bernie Sanders says he’s against nuclear because we don’t know what to do with the waste
It’s a lie
- “waste” from nuclear is the only energy waste we have a solution for
- solar produces 300x more waste & it’s dumped on African nations
- wind turbine waste going to landfills
@JZarif Why was your airspace open for flights if there was such high alertness by missile defense? It seems the airspace should have been closed off to avoid such a tragedy.
