@SmallerFishGAA@MulloolyMa3324 Are Offaly not entitled to play in an All Ireland quarter final?
Should there be a format change to make sure counties like us don't get rewarded for showing ambition and making some progress?
@BrophShane@MickFoley76 Similar to the reason that you couldn’t get a ticket for last years All Ireland for love nor money but Tipp returned tickets for today I guess
If it's just another run before Summer break that's wanted, come to Punchestown for charity race on the Saturday evening & wrap up the festival on a high.
2 mile on yielding ground, a big boost to the charity involved & a major crowd puller for @punchestownrace
Everyone wins
BREAKING: Constitution Hill will not run in the John Porter Stakes ❌
Nicky Henderson said: "We felt the ground is just too quick for him. He's a big, heavy horse and we couldn't take the risk."
@GLynchRacing The system of a rolling start works perfect in Ireland so why not go with that?!
If you're worried about starting near bends, copy what Leopardstown do with 2 mile start, which would be perfect for the 2m5f old course start.
Horrendous black card decision in Wexford Park.
That’s two weeks in a row it’s happened after Johnny Murphys bogus interjection in O’Connor Park last weekend.
Too big a punishment to be getting the call so badly wrong.
When Sam Allardyce took Bolton out to Dubai for a warm weather camp, he said the plan was straightforward.
Work hard in the daytime. Enjoy the sunshine. Stay away from trouble.
The issue turned out to be the hotel bar.
Allardyce told the squad they could have a drink, but it had to be a sensible one, then off to bed. Nothing stupid.
That rule disappeared quickly.
The bar stayed open, the drinks kept flowing, and players who should have been asleep were still sat there hours later.
Allardyce says he went down to see what was happening and found half the group still at it.
He told them to wrap it up and head upstairs.
They ignored him.
Training the next morning was hopeless. Heavy legs, foggy heads, no tempo.
Allardyce knew exactly what had caused it.
So he fined everyone who had been in the bar.
Then he fined himself too.
He admits he had been there most of the night as well, keeping out of sight.
He says the squad were stunned when they saw his name on the fines sheet.
Proof that if you give footballers an inch, they will take the minibar as well.

Comhghairdeas to @LusmaghGAA Club, who were awarded Adult Club of the Year 2025 at last night's annual convention. This proud and community driven club has produced some of Offaly’s most talented hurlers over many decades. Their first major success came with the Junior A Hurling Championship in 1973. They went on to claim their first and only Senior Hurling Championship in 1989, defeating reigning champions Seir Kieran by 1-11 to 1-10. Lusmagh later captured Intermediate Hurling Championships in 2012 and 2015, and in 2025 they regained top-tier status after a fantastic and determined championship campaign.
The Kelly, Troy, and Kinsella families amount others remain deeply embedded in the club’s history, with many of these familiar surnames featuring on the team that lifted the title in Birr just a few months ago. Heartfelt congratulations to this very proud and humble club on an achievement that reflects exceptional dedication, passion, teamwork, and unwavering community spirit.

Three Province Challenge
This St. Stephen’s Day, Lusmagh GAA will take on a unique challenge - a 12km journey from Munster, through Leinster and into Connacht.
Starting at Angler’s Rest (Munster), passing Lusmagh GAA (Leinster), and finishing across Meelick Weir (Connacht).
The shows goes on for another couple of weeks at least. Great to be heading to the pitch deep into November.
Fair play to everyone in @BirrCLG for having their pitch so good on Saturday after the rain that's fallen. Credit to all involved.
@brodders_be@RowleyfileRRR Which would be funny only the supposed trade paper is giving him a platform to tens of thousands.
Usually loons like him have to hang around in the shadows. The RP are putting him front and centre 🤷♂️
