@awealthofcs@RitholtzWealth Great story and appreciate you sharing it. 12 years into the same industry and I resonate with how much can change and exceed expectations. Recently dove head-first into the content creation game but inspired after reading your article to see where it goes in the next decade.
@rkelchen Saw the campus promo for this earlier in the week. I thought it seemed pretty cool but a little ambitious. Hope it finds the hungry student soon. :)
@EconomPic My mind goes to the AmazonBasics brand. Started homeschooling last week and bought the white board already. Seems like they have the chairs and folding tables too.
@FinStrength@AdamSinger Bought a 10'x30" intex for my two kids under 6. They spend 2-3 hours in there most days. Perhaps the best $150 I've spent on their entertainment. I'll likely dispose of it in Sept and maybe get a bigger one next summer 😬
@BillWinterberg@PenFed That name seems to come up a lot when I read about mortgages. The compilers through (Zillow, Bankrate, etc.) seem like a good start, but many of the lenders they recommend, I've never heard of.
@RetireMeASAP@BillWinterberg Word to the wise: any solution you use, make sure you read the fine print regarding data extraction fees if you ever decide to change vendors. Specifically with Global Relay.
@meridianwealth Agreed. If married, though, I'll sometimes give a thumbs up to a (healthy) younger, lower-earning spouse to file for benefits whenever is most convenient for household cash flow. PS: I enjoy your podcasts! 👍
Bringing Frodo to the gates of Mordor, then mowing the lawn. I absolutely love these accounts of Tolkien’s days writing Lord of the Rings. A reminder that great art is made on a normal Tuesday afternoon.
@MichaelKitces Had price increases in the past couple of years with
@ccm_medishare that made it start to feel expensive for a sharing ministry. Looking at the new 2020 #ACA plan total costs, I think I'll gladly sit tight where I am.
Just noticed 2020 prices were live for #ACA plans. $16.3k deductibles? Even with full/partial subsidies the total premium + deductible costs are unbelievable. @MichaelKitces
New Social Security numbers for 2020 recently announced. For those on Social Security, you will receive a 1.6% COLA adjustment for next year. For those still working, you will pay SS payroll tax up to $137,700 of income.

The 401(k) turns 40 today. Named for a section of the tax code, it was created in 1978 to supplement defined benefit plans. It has become the essential base of the US retirement system—valuable for those who can afford to fund it and an elusive goal for those who can’t.
