Program Manager @fermiexplorer — building humanity’s first journey to another star. Air Force Academy → HBS. Space + defense programs from concept to launch.

The founders of @Starcloud_ pulled the nicest gesture to the space community, by co founding @FermiExplorer :
- Fermi Explorer is a nonprofit launched this week that plans to send a tiny 1 kg, 10 cm-square probe toward Alpha Centauri by 2029 on a roughly $15 million budget
- fIrst human-built object explicitly aimed at another star and the sixth to leave the solar system
let's make sure to support @PhilipJohnston and the team and get our names on the most exciting space mission!

@USSF_SSC@torybruno I had a chance to work with Gen Salztman back at the CAOC when he was a 2 star. He was a fantastic pick for CSO because he understands how to get results by cutting through the noise
@alexwg@rylanhamilton@BlueWaterShips This is a double whammy of AI. Ships that are AI driven and AI designed to maximize power density (no need to have empty holds with no humans)
This is an absolute must-watch. Watched all 2H of it!
So much fascinating science, from how @FermiExplorer’s mission was conceived to how the collaboration with PSI produced the ingenious perihelion pump manoeuvre: using xenon ion propulsion to progressively dive closer to the Sun, then firing at just the right moments to kinetic-energymaxx its way to ~25 km/s and off to Alpha Centauri. 🤩🚀✨
