I am proud to share that my solo-authored paper has been published! In this paper, I show that including developmental context improves a simple neural network's ability to generalize information and accurately predict inputs it hasn’t seen before!(1/6) https://t.co/UbfSgtVIqT
@MorePerfectUS@ConsumerFed Out of curiosity are these numbers normalized by the number of users? I couldnt find it in the report.
I suspect it’s not as this graph is almost identical to the age distribution graph.
I’m no Zuck-lover but I think that is an important confounding factor in this.
What am I missing? Why is the percentage for Walz reversed from convention while Vance is stated normal to convention (percentages presented low to high).
I’m not a Vance supporter but don’t the actual percentages:
Walz: 31-42%
Vance: 32-44%
Imply they are viewed the same?
New ABC poll shows how Walz and Vance are landing with the country
Walz +11 favorability
Vance -12 favorability
A 23-point likeability gap!

But the financial pressures of a graduate student were grave. The amount of debt accrued, the medical needs unaddressed, left me with no option but to leave and obtain a job in industry.
I am thankful for the chance to plant this seed and hope it can grow. (6/6)
As a grad student good criticism is so motivating. It reminds me I’m still learning, but encourages me to explore deeply.
As this paper becomes my swan song to academic research (paper showcases where I would’ve taken my own lab).
I am honored by the help and support! (3/3)
About a month ago I submitted a solo paper, on some modeling work I had done on the side. With not much input from computational neuroscientists, I was truly terrified that I was going to get read for filthhhhhh.
I just got the reviews back… (1/3)
And whoever this is deserves an award in reviewing papers. They provided criticism in a way that’s motivating. Building me up and supporting my ideas without babying me, or avoiding being honest.
Seriously, couldn’t have asked for a better situation. (2/3)
