@elonmusk That's a distorted form and reflects the worst instincts of humanity. Multiculturism could become a "practice" that includes contributions from all cultures and doesn't praise/denigrate anyone by their culture, but rather by their capabilities and commitment. Be more optimistic!
@SteveSchmidtSES Why not come up with creative counter-solutions to ones you're criticizing, back candidates for 2026, and/or become one yourself. We need a positive vision to move toward, rather than a negative vision of a negative vision (2 negatives don't make a positive). YOU can do it!
@marwilliamson Kamala can use your help as an advisor. Then she could appoint you as an ambassador or cabinet member, then you would have the in-government experience required for even the wisest person in the room to get elected.
@Mofoman360 YES. She's the most talented children's author who ever lived. Her books took kids from ages 7 to 75 on a magical mystery tour that we only learned later represents the real world that was about to emerge 10 years later. How can you not love her?
@dgrimminck@marwilliamson Equity simply means: "dealing fairly and equally with all concerned" — it doesn't mean making everyone equally rich (or poor). The problem is that we don't even speak the same language anymore. People (and parties) redefine words to suit their own intentions (and base).
@JonnyThePhoenix@elonmusk We haven't "exchanged" them — the scientists you're talking about are just those who communicate often with the general public through social media. That can be a pretty full-time job, not leaving enough time to do advance research. 2 exceptions: Bryan Greene and Sean Carroll.
@AlisynCamerota I just watched the 2018 Mister Rogers documentary and heard your comment at the end about MR being an "evil evil man." Telling a kid they're special doesn't make them lazy, it gives them the confidence to express they''re unique talents and work harder for their dream.
@DE2344@marwilliamson Education is not dying — it's being transformed. We are on the verge of having personal ai tutors that can teach us much more effectively than current universities and professors!
You'll tell it what you want to learn and it will guide you through until you become proficient.
@marwilliamson We need to solve the problem, not further define and comment on it. What's the path from here to where we want to be, and what does the destination look like in great detail. That's how you get people to act.
@elonmusk Why not develop a nearly fraud-proof form of internet voting. In the 21st century it seems only logical. Voter turn-out would be extraordinary, results would be available the same day, and reliability and voter confidence would be higher than ever. Call the app "Democracy-X."
@elonmusk Bet you can't define "woke" scientifically or in a way that an engineer might find actionable in an ai system. Yet you use it as a scspegoat for the world's problems, which is a convenient excuse to be lazy and not look for solutions. What happened to Elon the engineer?
@Gabe_cc@tegmark We won't need to work if we have personal robots and systems that can provide for our basic needs, including physical and cyber security. Wealth beyond that may either be meaningless or possible for the more creative among us.
