@thameswater@cpneighbours@CollegeCllrs You can’t park on the main road but there is parking nearby on College road, looks like the leak is coming from within the wooded grounds of Atholl house.
@thinkofanalias@secretsqrl123 “Europeans would love to have big American V8’s” huge assumption there, some might but most think they are a pointless abomination and a motoring dinosaur. Far better options out there for moving people or heavy/bulky items around.
@jackrdsn That’s great for the well off with cars and detached homes but doesn’t help the millions of terrace/flat dwellers with no car. It’s these people who need to save money but face more obstacles to make upgrades than those who can afford it.
@ChaponaBike123@SaltGadgie Amazing that touching somebody’s number plate is considered a criminal offence above that of pulling a wheelie/speeding on a busy urban road. That’s motonormativity for you…
@seatsixtyone You may have met my grandfather Len Hamilton as he was an instructor at Ashford (may have been for track maintenance?) and was also on call for incidents. think he was still working in then.
@Rebecca08510632 In my home village, busybody bought cottage next to village hall and complained about noise from youth club/ the occasional wedding, a dead badger was left on her doorstep, eventually she moved out and the hall committee put flags/bunting up all round the village on moving day.
@countcaspargh@richardabetts surprised there isn’t an ANPR camera there, would pay for more plant boxes. they have one in Dulwich village LTN but the range rover drivers have bits of cardboard over their private plates...
@roadcc Ashford shot itself in the foot many times over the years, doffing its cap to the motorcar. ring road cut right through the town, the market is now out of town and vast car centric estates built on flood planes linked by clogged dual carriageways with rubbish cycle/ped provision
@seatsixtyone They were my trains too, it’s the hose arrangement on the front I remember, I think they joined a couple of trains at Ashford (Canterbury and Folkestone?) there was a chap come out with gloves on to do that.
@nath_english Fuck me 😳 I guess if you repeat the mantra enough times the narrative becomes normalised. Keep tugging ones forelock and remind ourselves how privileged we are to have free press and a royal family.
@davidrouse64 I have a perfect view of the transmitter from my flat and often watch the peregrines but did once see a ‘large crow’ flying very near the top and wondered what it was doing up there, guess it could have been a raven?
Elon is an anagram of Noel. Noel means Christmas. A shortening of Christmas is ‘X’mas. Jesus was born on Xmas day. So is Elon Jesus? Worth thinking about. Is Elon Santa? No but again, worth thinking about.
