@hammer_mt I can't shake that only about 1/4 users Tweet at all. The rest are readers. They don't want a checkmark. They want to know they are reading tweets from the real person/source.

@michaelmiraflor Not sure a proxy, since it may be affected by external factors like inventory. It for sure would be an outcome. Strong brand health leading to fast sales.
On sneaks: 1st purchases often made expressly for secondary market sale. So tough analog.
@clairestrickett Similar to below; this one is classic. Not noted, but effort to achieve short-term spikes should be less (time/money/incentives) over time, if brand building is consistent.
Believe there is real data behind this, in "The Long and Short of It".
A performance marketer who makes changes daily and sees performance in real-time is just going to have a much more honest view of reality than a brand marketer that does 1-2 campaigns per year decided on by committee and subject to client approval.
@PhDemetri different sort of response: catalyst for the move can be that the data simply becomes too big. As in: running a simple pivot table becomes resource-intensive.
Then it becomes about data one place and manipulation somewhere else (ie Tableau, etc)
@mjbarash Makes sense that they would hold back some key features from the free version. Help protect their installed base from downgrading.
Bet they next announce you can't watch Stranger Things or you have to wait a month to get it.
@NewPrediction WE ARE!!
;-)
There is a growing list of shops both big and small tackling the issue. I'm on the @4As data committee and we definitely are trying to push the industry ever forward.

Snickers strategy is that it satisfies hunger. Positions itself against other candy bars, which are snacks/indulgences. Able to do this because the peanuts are protein. Strategy derives from a product difference.
#advertising and #strategy love the Nudge. Interventions for incremental change, resulting in fresh behavior. That's.. an ad.
What we can also do is target that nudge to different moments, so the intervention is right person, right time.
Your native language doesn’t always have an easy way to express a feeling. But another one might. “There’s a Word for That.” Fresh spots for @rosettastone just dropped! https://t.co/pqBo1atktX
@buffalogiu This Levis commercial is the first I remember noticing/liking. I look at it now and realize it is an actual Good Ad (brand, story, product).
I think it is mostly forgotten. But it belongs on any top-ad-of-all-time list.

@ItsCandraM Second this. I like the structure of engineers to get complex data in order and UI people to set up a simple interface (Tableau, etc) to that data.
Then: let everyone explore.
This is great. First of all: #space. Second of all--I like the way this visualization is able to lead you through the stops. There is a lot to be said for interactivity. But the storytelling here is simple and great.
As NASA's Voyager spacecraft start to power down, take a Grand Tour of our solar system and beyond with Voyager 1 & 2 and my new viz (utilising collapsable containers!) ✨
