I was at the Red Wings game tonight it was so much worse than I ever could’ve expected. I was also at a lot of the late 2025 Tigers games where they choked away the biggest division lead ever and barely made the playoffs.
There’s no comparison and I lost my voice booing the Tigers that year. Tonight there were 5 plus “sell the team” chants during the game. There were “sell the team” chants in the concourse. There were “sell the team” chants in the bathrooms. There were constant boos and a handful of “fuck Chris Illitch” chants. I’ve never seen anything like it. #LGRW
@colton_pouncy Seems like a bit of an aggressive response for a guy responsible for a defense that you’d struggle to steel man an argument against being worst in the league
@E_Woodyard Please just fire him into the sun and let us get on with our lives. It’s bad enough to make poor coordinator hires but to not be able to put down Old Yeller when the time comes is even worse
@AnthonyWriter5 The issue is more that the help he finds can be bargain bin or not good enough. We needed an outside CB in 24 and Zadarius was mega washed and signed too late. Marcus Davenport wasn’t exactly a home run pickup either to help the Dline.
Never thought I’d get to the point where I’m tired of Dan’s coach speak. I don’t care how fired up you are Dan. I care that the team looks awful and is two plays away from 0-4.

@BradKrysko I’ve stopped trying to tell myself that it can’t get worse because the one thing the Wings have taught me is that it can *always* get worse
I don’t really care that the defense sucks or the defensive coordinator is bad. Bad contracts and bad hires happen to every team. The Chiefs, Rams, Eagles, etc. have all had it happen recently and are fine. I do however care a lot about what’s done to fix it and my confidence in the leadership to right the ship.
That’s my problem with the Lions. I have zero confidence that it will be fixed and that’s what scares me. I don’t want to go back to the dark times.
