That’s what White Ribbon Day (today!) is about.

It’s about raising awareness of this global scourge and committing to doing everything we can eradicate it from our society.

I recently appeared on Loose Women, where I spoke about the work I’ve been doing in Parliament to tackle violence against women and girls.

In particular, I’ve negotiated with Government to secure the first ever legal categorisation for domestic abuse crimes in our country, so that we can properly track domestic abusers and crack down on their appalling crimes.

A big thank you to Women’s Aid, Refuge, Victim Support, the White Ribbon Campaign and many others for their support in helping to change the law to better protect thousands and thousands of victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
