This week we implemented a really exciting feature in ctzn called “Database Methods”
These methods are similar to contract calls in ethereum. They enable database to export an API which can be called entirely via @HypercoreProto in an async, partition-friendly fashion
The upcoming @BeakerBrowser 1.0 will have a simple way to install pages as "WebTerm" apps, effectively allowing you to invoke JS on that page from the beaker terminal.
(Some details on this update in the thread for people curious about details)
Tab management is a <expletive deleted>
One thing we're trying in the next @BeakerBrowser release is a history sidebar with "recently closed tabs." Hopefully we'll feel more comfortable closing tabs knowing we can quickly find them again

Major updates are on the way, but here’s small colorful one in the meantime 🌈
You can enable the UI to dynamically match the color scheme of the page you’re visiting 🦎
You’ll also be able to manually set custom themes if you’d like 🎉
Thank you to @leichtgewicht@carax and @liminalpunk for organizing a phenomenal conference and to all of the participants! It’s an honor to have presented and been mentioned alongside such a wonderful and talented community ❤️

A huge thanks to everyone who participated in our first online event. 💚
@serapath Currently the only way to try it out is by cloning the repo and building from source: https://t.co/erYI415wbq
There will be convenient downloads for iOS and Android prebuilds once the project graduates from alpha to beta :)
Gateway uses a protocol registry and a custom API registry that have hyper:// and Beaker's API registered, respectively. The goal is to have an external API for these registries so dat:// and other protocols from the community can be quickly and easily adopted on the fly 😄
@RangerMauve Gonna start putting out prebuilt APK releases once the project graduates from alpha to beta :)
As of now, any brave souls that wants to give it an early test run will have to clone the repo and build from source:
