@star_stufff @TradeTexasBig A couple of mine were as well (and they all swear he was the best teacher they've ever had). I also had the privilege of knowing Amitava Raychaudhuri, his nephew, who is an authority on neutrino physics too!

@ThomasVanRiet2 @fynmaaandu Ah sorry - I was just wondering if there's a reason we're more comfortable with hierarchies in dimension sizes rather than hierarchies in energy scales (because if I understand correctly, in such theories, the energy hierarchy is often a consequence of the former hierarchy).

@neel_kolhe @meow_hari I find it infuriating, honestly, when people pretend one stream is "better" than another. Something has to change in our prestige-oriented education system.
