जज साहब ने आलीशान सरकारी बंगला, वीआईपी कार और अन्य सरकारी सुविधाएं लेने से इंकार कर दिया है। वे एक छोटे से कमरे में रहते हैं, अपना खाना खुद बनाते हैं और रोजाना पैदल ही कोर्ट जाते हैं।

जज अक्षय ने मध्य प्रदेश हाई कोर्ट को आवेदन देकर अपनी सैलरी आधी करने की मांग भी की है। निजी संपत्ति के नाम पर उनके पास सिर्फ अपनी मां द्वारा दिया गया एक मोबाइल फोन है। उन्होंने आजीवन अविवाहित रहने का फैसला किया है। तबादले पर उन्होंने विभाग से कहा है कि उन्हें देश में कहीं भी भेजा जाए, वे न्यूनतम सरकारी सुविधाएं ही लेंगे।

बचपन में अपनी मां को संपत्ति विवाद के दौरान अदालत के चक्कर लगाते देखकर उन्होंने जज बनने का निर्णय लिया था। इसी कारण वे अपनी अदालत में आने वाले मुकदमों, खासकर जमीन-जायदाद से जुड़े मामलों का निपटारा बेहद तेजी से करते हैं ताकि आम लोगों को जल्द से जल्द न्याय मिल सके।

मेरा मकसद अस्पताल में 504 दवाइयाँ देना है, जिसमें 350 दिया जा रहा है। दवा की composition सही होनी चाहिए। Government Hospital के Medical Store से दवा लेकर शहर के किसी random Shop से वही दवाई उठा लिया जाएगा। दोनों की Lab में testing होगी, composition check होगा, जिससे पता चले हम जो दवा दे रहे हैं वह सही है या नहीं।

बिहार के अस्पताल में बहुत सारी CT, MRI, X-ray की मशीन खराब है या मिली हुई है। आप लोग सबसे पहले मुझे बताएंगे, चलाने वाला technician चाहिए, मशीन repair करवाना है। ऐसा नहीं होना चाहिए कि मशीन 1 साल से, 6 महीने से अस्पताल में पड़ा हुआ है, जंग खा रहा है, कोई चलाने वाला नहीं है।

हम 100 Ambulance Highway Bypass के area में तैनाती करेंगे, जिससे सड़क दुर्घटना में होने वाले लोगों को जल्द से जल्द उचित इलाज मिले।

Nishant Kumar के साथ सबसे बढ़िया बात है कि Nitish Kumar के बेटे हैं, इसलिए इनको हटाना, मंत्रालय change करना मुश्किल है। अगर अभी कोई दूसरा होता तो change कर दिया जाता।

In 1990, Sarla Bhat, 27, was working as a staff nurse at Srinagar’s SKIMS hospital to support her family, even as fear forced her community to flee.

On April 15, 1990, Sarla was abducted from her hostel. For four agonizing days, JKLF terrorists subjected her to brutal torture and sexual assault. When her body was dumped in Mallabagh on April 19, her killers had carved the acronym "JKLF" directly into her flesh from a knife.

The horror continued for her family. When Sarla’s bullet-ridden body returned to Anantnag, the neighborhood was already a ghost town emptied by the exodus. Marooned and helpless, the grieving family could not find enough people to carry her to a funeral pyre. As they attempted her final rites, a grenade was hurled at their home. This targeted terror forced the last remaining Hindu families to flee.

Systemic apathy followed. Though a police complaint was filed in 1990, the file was buried. It took until 2025 for a Special Investigation Agency to reopen the case, naming four terrorists. Two are dead, one is absconding, and one is imprisoned: Yasin Malik, who was once pampered as a Damaad by New Delhi, invited to the high table as one of the esteemed "stakeholders in the Kashmir peace talks." Yesterday, chargesheet was filed in this case.

Sarla’s case is not isolated. Thousands of women faced similar brutality in Kashmir during the late 1980s and 1990s, leaving behind stories that have been completely erased from the records today.
