@Spokker @AdvParker they sold the land with the intent to lease it. they likely had to state that they planned to move out by the end of the lease for legal reasons but it was never really in their plans to close, it was just “bad press” as they said to me a year ago.

@flohzirkusmusic @vanatice i think it depends on how you think of what you're doing. if I'm trying to clean up by removing low end, ill "low cut" to cut out the lows. if I'm filtering something in during an intro, ill "low pass" to let the lower frequencies pass through into the mix

@JamesIGuess1 @BoxChocolatez @Bammes1 @Potatopolitics again, not claiming its unusable. if youre used to celsius stick with it. its just not the most intuitive option for the majority of people as i see it. i.e. i'm willing to admit feet and miles are unintuitive and only work because I'm used to them, but since i am i don't switch.

@lesser_GAMES @Potatopolitics youre half right, boiling point depends on altitude so on earth it could be anywhere between 68°C and 101°C depending on where you are. but idk in my day to day life I've never had to measure when water freezes or boils 🤷���♀️

@meurigjenkins @Potatopolitics meh its just that my brain is very base-10. it takes "it's 100 out" to feel alarmed by how hot it is. to me i'd consider that more objectively intuitive to someone who has never dealt with temperature before than it being 40 out or something.

@JordonLewin @Potatopolitics water doesnt boil at 212°F. it doesnt boil at 100°C either. the boiling point of water depends on altitude, if i lived in Denver my water would boil at 92°C. the 100° boiling point is half of what celsius' landmarks are based on and it isn't even accurate.

@Bammes1 @BoxChocolatez @Potatopolitics yep but youve missed my point entirely. any measurement system works if you get used to it, that's why I use feet and miles on a day-to-day basis. but if you're trying to find something that is objectively intuitive without having to get used to it, fahrenheit wins in my eyes.

@mypantsaretorn @Potatopolitics but when's the last time you measured the temperature of water? the vast majority of applications for temperature are with air (weather, thermostat, oven, etc), so why base your temperature system around water when you don't even measure water temp and it gives less resolution?
