@Tom_Engels_Desk yea but how many of those 6 stock car starts were road courses, and across how many years were those 6 starts? you're going in circles now lol
@Tom_Engels_Desk no, but if we agree theres a learning curve then wouldn't you agree that if someone were to jump into a cup car, the very top level of stock car racing, that it would be beneficial to have more than two stock car starts to your name? i don't really see your point
@Tom_Engels_Desk indycars are not the same as stock cars, just like how people say cup cars arent like the xfinity cars/trucks, if you were to put a nascar driver into indycar there'd be a pretty steep learning curve (i.e Jimmie Johnson), same goes for stock car drivers
@Tom_Engels_Desk it doesnt matter who you are, if you hop into the top level of stock car racing at a non super speedway track then you're gonna catch smoke for it, even BJ Mcleod who couldve easily bought himself a ride in cup started racing NASCAR events in the trucks to get on track experience
@Tom_Engels_Desk before phoenix she ran exactly 4 (four) oval races, 2 of which being the indy 500, with the others being the 2018 richmond xfinity race and the 2025 arca daytona race, thats 2 (two) oval track stock car races in across all series in the last seven years
Today, NASCAR announces its recognition of Bobby Allison as the official winner of the 1971 NASCAR Cup Series race at Bowman Gray Stadium.
Allison,ย who drove a Grand Americanย car to victory that day, now counts this win toward his NASCAR Cup total, bringing him to 85 career wins.
Sources indicate Front Row, 23XI and Trackhouse will each obtain one of the SHR charters. The fourth is more unclear. Legacy, RFK and JTG have all indicated interest in expanding but I do not expect them to be in play for any of the SHR charters (and JRM is not as well).
