Dropping policies that block them gaining that experience at a different company would seem like a good start

@davefarley77 Was once responsible for a system where every code change needed to be wrapped in feature flags. We wrote test frameworks tho drive tests of every feasible production combination. My advice - don’t do it. Keep feature flags to a minimum, and mainly in the UI layer

@jasongorman It’s often useful to have a resident bullshit merchant to insulate everyone else from annoying questions from indirect stakeholders (e.g. senior mgmt) and to send to meetings no one else wants to go to. But they need to understand that have no power to commit the team to anything
