Recently, out of the blue I got a call from @DKMS_uk - the charity that helps people with blood cancer. I'd forgotten that 5yrs ago I did a cheek swab... but the call was to say I was a possible match for someone in urgent need of stem cell or bone marrow transplant.

It's a chance to help someone survive who wouldn't otherwise. Unfortunately, having just been through the next stage, I've been ruled out of donating.

So to turn that into a positive, I wanted to suggest if you fancy registering to be a donor, if age 18 - 55 you can do it here... https://t.co/WOEAyPoQqu - and hopefully one of you may be the match that actually saves a life.

Please consider signing up the register, a quick mouth swab and it’s all done!

@MerseysideNpaa Fabulous sentiment Lynsay @MerseysideNpaa. Not sure what @dibblewibble2 is getting at but clearly misogynistic comments are to be expected on IWD! Keep on keeping on!
