I just took the CliftonStrengths assessment and learned that my No. 1 strength is WOO. What’s yours? (aka nothing as changed since graduate school) https://t.co/1nKreEJWdM
Guess the cat’s out of the bag: proud to say I’ll be returning to my alma mater Oberlin College starting Fall 2023 as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology, continuing to teach and research microbiology, infectious disease, and public health. More deets/words to come!
What Can You Be with a PhD is all about providing career options, exploration and development opportunities for academics who are wondering what’s next.

Excited to speak at @WCUBPHD about career paths in science policy and grateful for platforms like this where historically "alternative" career paths can take center stage! #WCUB2021

Hi #ScienceTwitter! @zgitai1 and I are so excited to share our recent preprint with everyone!
In this paper, we used a combination of imaging, sequencing, and culturing, and discovered that the skin surface is colonized by surprisingly few viable bacteria.
Today I start as an Assistant Professor as the @brattonlab opens in @VUMCPathology. My group will be at the intersection of computational biology, biophysics, and microbiology as we understand, manipulate, and leverage 3D organization in bacteria. Lab website coming soon!
What a day!! Congratulations to the greatest scientist, advocate, and friend a person could ask for! We are all so happy for you and proud of you, @gaybemoore, or as I like to say, Dr. Moore!
