@nr147@FPLFella I’ve wildcarded, but not used any transfers yet. The thinking is, get to five free transfers (by having an optimised team for next few weeks) and in effect, have 5 FT to pull from, whether that’s gradual tweaks or full on mini wildcard in fixture swings
@LetsTalk_FPL But even if you look at the top defenders from last season they are only around 50-60 points to the mid level points scorer, whereas with midfielders and strikers it’s more than 100+. Think the game favours the attacking positions and that’s where funds are best allocated! 2/2
@LetsTalk_FPL I feel that this year (like last year) the defence doesn’t warrant the extra cash as much as the midfield/strikers do. So many goals been scored - perhaps in part to more minutes been played - which has impacted clean sheets. Obviously having attacking defenders offsets that, 1/2
@markgoldbridge Reckon we should go for Ange Mark? Injects some positivity, attacking football, takes no prisoners, fresh start? His head might turn after last few days? Then target Van de Ven, Braithwaite, Paqueta & Watkins for a rebuild? Wishful thinking maybe but still a draw to most players
@FPLMate@FPLFunmilee FH 34/BB37 here. Agree that it’s fallen well for FH29ers (frustratingly!) but I think there is a slight glimmer for us. Think our 34 teams will be more optimised (eg no triple Bournmouth, can have Palace, some United? whilst still been able to gear up for 37 with 6 transfers..
@CourellMatthew@BenCrellin Also wondering this; just wildcarded and FH left. FA cup results massively impacted my original plan. Think it hands big advantage to WC 35’ers who can go heavy on United/New/Spurs/Chel without needing to hold them from now - whilst still been able to play 6-8 doublers in 34!
