A lovely walk up by Darden lough yesterday, couldn’t help noticing (sorry I know I’m a prophet of doom !) the lack of insects and hence bird no’s down?😖I couldn’t have walked there T- shirted a decade ago .. A nice stonechat though, watercolour sketch. Have a great evening all👍

@ScarecrowNeste1 @Stewchat Thanks Steve for the kind words, I’m guilty of doom scrolling and spend too much time on it. Since Arwen knocked my TV out I haven’t sorted it ! so much nature content to enjoy on here with the likes of yours and Stewarts input rather than TV. Back soon I hope, cheers 🙏👍

With this weather it seems to be raining Red-backed Shrikes as well as water at the moment on the East Coast of the UK, for me the original 'Butcher Bird' and one I would marvel at as I leafed through beloved books.

It’s that chaotic few weeks again.. the new starlings have arrived..adults working tirelessly in hot sun to feed the noisy, quarrelsome and boisterous young, their wheezy begging calls everywhere! 😄pencil sketch. Have a good night all, many thanks for any feedback 👍
