Founders Inc is getting copperized :)
So cool to see all those new users & applications! Join us on discord: https://t.co/pVdRNqSQ8B
And so many thanks to Nico for spreading the word.

@kscottz@irvinxyz@rosorg Yeah but you have some fundamental things you cannot retrofit to ROS like determinism which is key for autonomous robots and going after the long tail in autonomy to prove safety. Check out copper-rs, and we have a bridge to integrate it into ROS systems.
You can build anything with Rust! 🦀
Here is a flight controller running in the browser.
It's a demo for copper-rs (a framework for robotics)
Right panel is a terminal UI powered by Bevy + Ratatui

Please remind me how we are moving forward. In this video, a machine from the year ~2000 (600MHz, 128MB RAM, spinning-rust hard disk) running Windows NT 3.51. Note how incredibly snappy opening apps is. 👇
@JohnKennedyEsq What you are describing fits exactly what the remarkable is and does. I had a V1 and now a V2, I love them so much I didn't want to expense them even though I use them every day at work.
I wanted to buy one of those for such a long time! Hint for those who are confused, check out the keys h,j,k,l. I plan to compile vi the oldest version I can find on it just for to honor it!
@Carnage4Life In my team I would seriously question the programming level of this employee. This is n.log(n) instead of n. They use a function they don't even understand exactly what it does and shows the lack of curiosity about their professional activity.
@patrickdebois Unfortunately this "reading" time is not constant. For some I would need a couple hours of research and for some others I just read the titles and I have an informed opinion/decision. The meeting organizer needs to set the expectations right more than just blocking time IMHO.
@willmcgugan I love the approach! One thing I would check out: Some candidates might have an exclusivity clause in their current job contract so contributing real code for money for another company could scare them away unfortunately.
@NoelsRetroLab What is the biggest hurdle for you with Linux? I use arch Linux as a daily driver, DaVinci pro works relatively well and all the low level commands, block devices etc are so retro computer friendly. The kernel even supports Amiga partition tables etc...
Hey crowd, I have bought this unknown Z80 s-100 board and I cannot find what it is... It looks like the ROM is missing. Anybody is familiar with those? I would love to make it boot! Timecodes are from 83 while the Z80 has been replaced with an 85 part.
