Let’s meet GBP.
The Good Bad Professional is a digital community and blog that is dedicated to breaking down the 9-5 life from the awesome moments to the facepalming moments.
@thereallkcamp The 90s gave us a childhood fueled by imagination and bikes, not algorithms and screen time. This generation is growing up way too fast because of how fast the digital world moves.
@farti_xcx@ButterBabe__ It’s incredibly frustrating.
They use these bots as a barrier to completely avoid paying for human support, leaving you stuck in an infinite loop of pre-programmed corporate non-answers.
@OkLesediK By "building character" you mean working three different job roles for one salary while pretending that the ping-pong table in the break room makes up for it? 😭
@nsemeke33 You sha know that these days 200 level students sef might meet the requirements of said job😌
People aren’t waiting till they’re done with NYSC to gain experience again oh
7. You can be ambitious AND decenter work.
Focus more on building a life-center career, instead of a career-centered life.

Work Advice I wish someone would have given me earlier when it comes to work and career:
1. Take a leave if you need it.
You can be replaced at work, your health can’t
6. Set boundaries and communicate your value.
Even if you feel like your work speaks for itself, it doesn’t.
This isn’t disrespect, nor is it being too ambitious. It’s protecting your mental health.
P.S The corporate ladder doesn’t really exist anymore.
@official_QV The fact that a manager would leak confidential salary details to create friction is wild.
You advocated for your value, and you shouldn’t feel guilty for that.
They need to take that energy to management, not you.
@Freyy_is Miss those days so much. Buying a physical magazine meant you actually committed to reading it, instead of opening 15 tabs you’ll never look at.
Three signs your career is not growing, even if your salary is:
1. You can do your job without thinking. No new challenge, no new skill, no discomfort.
2. Nobody asks for your opinion on decisions that matter. You execute. You do not shape.
3. Your title changed but your responsibilities stayed the same. A promotion without expansion is a costume change.
Growth is not comfort with better pay. Growth is discomfort with better tools.
@star_child_09 It depends entirely on the company culture. If you love working there, it’s a no-brainer.
But if management is toxic, those two years will feel like an absolute eternity.
