I woke up thinking about the WAEC conversation that dominated X and other platforms all weekend.
For me, this is not abstract politics. It is personal history.
While some people, like a former governor of Anambra turned presidential candidate, built reputations around inflated WAEC examination outcomes and a culture where “special centres” and malpractice became part of the national education conversation that it took a serious threat by WAEC before they were closed under a new administration in Anambra, many of us were direct beneficiaries of a different model: investment in real schools, better classrooms, stronger public education, and the payment of SSCE fees by the then Governor of Lagos State, now President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
I, O’tega Ogra, and many others across the private and public sectors, including leaders now serving in politics and governance (including two strong women currently the APC Deputy Governorship candidate of Lagos State and APC Surulere I LSHA Candidate), came through a Lagos education system that did not simply chase headlines. It expanded access. It reduced the burden on parents. It built actual education infrastructure as legacy. It gave ordinary students a fairer chance. Lagos’ payment of WAEC fees under Governor Tinubu was publicly reported as far back as 2004, when ₦214 million (about 10% of its average monthly IGR by that year) was released for students’ examination fees. (NOTE: As Governor, he started paying these fees in 2000 for all students regardless of state of origin or tribe)
That is the difference between gaming outcomes and building systems that outlive you.
Examination malpractice weakens a country. It produces certificates without competence, rankings without reality, and applause without substance. WAEC itself continues to treat malpractice as a serious threat to the credibility of education, with recent sanctions and withheld results showing how deep the problem remains nationally.
I know why I am a firm supporter, believer, and follower of our President and my leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT
His historical antecedents, his clarity of vision, and his consistent belief in expanding opportunity are not new. They did not start in Abuja. They were tested in Lagos. Many of us are living proof.
President Tinubu’s politics has always been about opening doors: for the poor child whose parents could not afford exam fees, for the young person who needed a functioning public school, for the talented Nigerian who only needed government to remove one barrier.
That is why, when we speak of Renewed Hope, some of us are not speaking from slogans. We are speaking from memory. We have seen the model before. We benefited from it. We know what it can do when scaled nationally. And we are seeing the building blocks of sustainable progress being laid for the entire country now by President Tinubu himself.
The debate should not be about who can manufacture the best statistics. It should be about who has the record, courage, and vision to build systems that give every Nigerian child a real chance for the long term prosperity of our dear nation.
For me, that answer has always been clear. It is the Jagaban himself. Asiwaju of Nigeria. Barkindo. Dike Si Mba Anambra and the Omeziri Igbo 1, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

I am here to remind Obidients that Peter Obi was impeached as governor over allegations of financial misconduct, including misappropriation of funds and the award of contracts to friends and associates without due process. The impeachment was later overturned by the courts on procedural grounds, not because he was proven innocent of the allegations.

Do you know why this Ethiopian Prison swap(Filled with Igbos) is not being treated as a propaganda
1. It happened in Ethiopia.
2. Minister of Foreign Affairs is Igbo.
3. The prisoner were singing Igbo songs.
4. They are all Igbos.
He removed the economic monster code named fuel subsidy.
He stopped forex banditry.
He has given local government autonomy.
He has settled backlog of forex obligations.
He cleared ways and means of N30tr.
He has reduced debt service ratio from 97% to 65%.
He has increased oil production.
Nigeria’s trade surplus rises by 89% to N7.3tr.
He has taken the foreign reserves to over $50bn.
One million three hundred and thirty eight thousands students are benefiting from NELFUND at a cost of N242 billion.
He is building concrete roads that will last for decades in every geopolitical zone of the country with the Sokoto-Badagry super highway and the Lagos-Calabar coastal road as the flagships.
He is fighting terrorism and banditry more than anyone before him.
President Tinubu has approved the establishment of a national armed forest guard system to protect Nigeria’s 1,129 forest reserves and flush out bandits and terrorists. The initiative mandates each state to recruit between 1,000 and 5,000 guards, depending on capacity.
Now, he is about to establish state police.
An Open Letter of Appreciation to the Obidients
To my Liberators,
I am writing this to say a sincere thank you.
I never intended to be this vocal about my support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; my original plan was simply to do my things low-key and support him quietly. However, you ‘the Obidient’ completely changed that.
With the way you try to castigate anyone who stands with the President, operating under the assumption that your candidate holds a monopoly on support, you ended up achieving the exact opposite of what you intended.
Instead of silencing me, your actions boosted my morale, gave me a strong push, and completely brought me out of my shell.
For that, I am truly grateful.
Warm regards,
Alabama 🤞
Do you really think Peter Obi as president would have gotten the Nigeria tax act passed.?
Do you think Peter Obi as president would have gotten LGA autonomy ?.
Do you think Peter Obi as president would have started the process of fiscal federalism ( that is even if he is ideologically on the same page )?.
Do you think Peter Obi as president would have gotten state police bill over the line ?.
These bills required elite political maneuvering and clout, one that Peter struggles with.
That you are President doesn’t automatically confer the skills required for governing.
Worthy note is that this administration has assented to over 60 bills within 3 years.

PRESS RELEASE
DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS MOURNS THE PASSING OF RETIRED MAJOR GENERAL RABE ABUBAKAR, REAFFIRMS RESOLVE TO ERADICATE TERRORISM
The Defence Headquarters regrets to announce the passing of Major General Rabe Abubakar (Retired), who tragically lost his life in captivity following his abduction.
The Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) convey its deepest sympathies to the Abubakar family, his colleagues and all Nigerians. Maj Gen Abubakar served the nation with distinction and held many appointments including spokesperson of various military formations as well as spokesman for the AFN as Director Defence Information. He made immense contributions to counter-insurgency operations, professional development of the AFN and numerous other commendable and outstanding impacts. His commitment to duty and to the unity of Nigeria remains a shining example for all personnel of the AFN.
The Defence Headquarters withheld public comment on his abduction in deference to ongoing rescue efforts by the AFN and sister security agencies. Every operational resource was deployed in the hope of securing his safe return.
This sad loss further strengthens the resolve of the AFN. We will remain resolute in the discharge of our constitutional mandate to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Nigeria and to protect all citizens.
In response to series of unfortunate abductions across Nigeria including that of Maj Gen Abubakar, ongoing operations have since been further intensified to bring perpetrators to justice and to dismantle all terrorist networks threatening our nation.
We assure Nigerians that the Armed Forces will not relent until peace and security are restored and those responsible for terrorists activities across the nation are held to account.

STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE
PRESIDENT TINUBU EXPRESSES SADNESS OVER THE DEATH OF RETIRED MAJOR-GENERAL ABUBAKAR, CONDOLES WITH THE FAMILY
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed shock over the death of retired Major-General Rabe Abubakar while in the custody of terrorists in Katsina State.
General Abubakar, after a distinguished career in the military, retired a few years ago. He was on his way to his hometown when the hoodlums captured him
The President commiserated with his family, especially his wife, who is still being held against her will by the captors.
He also extended his condolences to the Katsina State government and the armed forces.
While the terrorists have done their worst, the President wants them to know that the government will never bow to their demand to release their members held by our security agencies.
As I said on June 12: “Bandits, kidnappers, and sponsors of terror should now surrender or face the full force of the Nigerian State. These windows of surrender will not remain open forever. And no mercy will be shown to those who trade in the blood of Nigerians.
“As Nigerians, we must stand united and be assured that the enemies of our nation shall soon be history. We will triumph over terror and continue to build a more prosperous nation.
“General Abubakar’s death should further serve as a defining moment in our battle against terrorists and insurgents, never to negotiate with them on any terms, but to continue to treat them as the greatest enemies of our dear nation, who should never be spared.”

Fellow Nigerians
Today, we celebrate democracy and the enduring Nigerian spirit. For 27 unbroken years, since May 29, 1999, Nigerians have chosen their leaders through the ballot, witnessed peaceful transitions of power, and resolved disagreements in courtrooms and legislative chambers—not through violence. We have experienced the longest stretch of civilian rule in our history. Our democracy is not perfect, but it is ours, and we must continue to defend and strengthen it.
@_Dejii You are going to unite Nigeria with the ideas contained in your leaked "Yes Daddy" audio tape? When it comes to lying, you can represent Africa. Oga, Nigerians have seen through you. Go and rest.
This is Joe Igbokwe, a staunch follower of PBAT. For that, he was molested and almost lynched by Peter Obi's supporters at Ladipo spare market, Oshodi Lagos; about three years ago, his country home was razed down also by the same people. Up till today, Obi has not condemn the attacks nor has he found it necessary or noble to make a sympathy call to chief Igbokwe. Across the country hundreds of thousands of Nigerians, on daily basis suffer varying degrees of such intimidation and harassment in the hands of Obi's supporters. But not once has he cautioned his supporters: when we say Obi encourages and supports political violence and intimidation, this one is a classic example.
@Legit_mate05@TheAdvo72281022@Ogechex What is bad about the leaked "Yes Daddy" audio is the religious bigotry it reveals. That's just one of numerous exposures of Obi's alleged corrupt tendencies. If you don't see this, you deserve pity. Ewu.
@ChigemezuUchec1@Jahbylo06@MrGhata@thecableng@realkenokonkwo You still haven't answered the question. You answered as if we were comparing their good qualities. The question is this: Since Obi is no longer a saint, as you people have admitted, in what ways is he less saintly than President Tinubu? Emphasis: less saintly, not more saintly.
