@CliffordAsness it is not hard to understand the math behind unrealized losses in fixed rate bonds - its a story of do you want to take your pain all at once (sell now) or slowly over time (hold to maturity). there is no trading alchemy here
@NickTimiraos@greg_ip the question for bonds is what if we go from not sufficiently breaking the economy this spring and look forward to tax cuts this summer/fall? my guess is higher yields and no inversion in the front end
@NickTimiraos Why do we continue to view/compare claim data on a gross basis rather than as a ratio of employed or labor force? Population growth makes this a tough comp to past times when looking for a trend/signal
@Stimpyz1@Convertbond Agree here, if you dropped RRP and forced MMKT to duke it out in front end bills you would ease the pressure off banks. I get why they did it, but the opposite dynamics are now in play.
