@gear_ratio @ianwalker D+ is supposed to be ad free in the uk. There are sometimes both ad-free (no Eurosport logo) and ad-included (Eurosport logo) versions of the same race in the player. I think Extended highlights only have ad-included versions, but you can skip the ads.

@EmilyKerr36 London had more or less solved this - flat fares and mandatory contactless payment. On my commute I'd sometimes get on at Waterloo and a whole double decker would get filled in 3 or 4 minutes.

This is a really interesting graph - not just the 800, but the monotonic trends on either side. It's like there's something that has improved "pure endurance," and something else that has improved "pure speed," but their effects somehow diminish when you mix them. Very curious.
