"And now I tell you. What's lost is nothing to what's found, and all the death that ever was, set next to life, would scarcely fill a cup." Frederick Buechner.
@dcsandbrook@TheRestHistory They knew of his activity but turned a blind eye until the thin blue line was threatened. Maybe an episode on Profumo, Green and other political scandals. Though I have a soft spot for the redemption story of Profumo. Green was more tragic.
@dcsandbrook@TheRestHistory The ref to Profumo and the fascination with posh and tawdry brought to mind Sir Allan Green, the DPP in the early nineties. He liked kerb crawling at Kings Cross and was arrested there after charging police with obstruction for Guilford Four.
@marcorubio Again with the demand for thanks. Jeepers, what is with your mindset? What happened to not letting the right hand know what the left hand is giving? Generosity of spirit, we need more of it!
@JBsTwoCents Ps. In prayer. We're pretty pissed here in Canada but not at lovely Americans who are suffering. I sent you some cash late last year. We're in this together.
@JBsTwoCents I know you're overwhelmed by everything on your plate and this feels like a fruitless fight. Do it anyways. Luther said if he knew the world was ending tomorrow he would plant a tree. Do the hopeful fruitless thing
@ClarkHistoryPol Hear hear and I only take issue with one word of your post. Maybe Trump is too? Maybe? He couldn't be more in Putin's thrall. I'm Canadian and I don't recognize this topsy turvy world 😠
