@ExpediaHelp@AerLingus — why have I been charged £220.60 for a failed booking?
On 4 May I tried to book return flights to Dublin via Expedia for £193.36. The payment was unexpectedly split into £110.30 + £83.19.

The refund didn’t arrive so I raised two disputes with @monzo, but both have now been declined.
Most importantly, @ExpediaHelp has confirmed in writing (31 July) that no booking was created, no tickets were issued and no service was provided in return for my £220.60.

I was charged £220.60 in total, despite paying for return flights that I never received.
There was no confirmed booking or @ExpediaHelp itinerary number and I never received the flights I was trying to pay for.
They told me the charges were temporary and I’d get refunded.

The £110.30 payment went through, but the £83.19 payment was blocked by @monzo because it was processed in Euros….
@ExpediaHelp then confirmed the booking had failed.
I tried again — exactly the same thing happened.
@British_Airways suggesting an express lane for people that bothered to use Verifly to check in online as an incentive, won't bother next time otherwise!
@SW_Help You guys are a disgrace, consistently shite. A train fault?...driver just suggested there's 'another' broken down train up ahead, hence our delay.
Just heard City have lost AGAIN. You useless bluenose bastards. We stopped Liverpool winning the league for the best part of three decades. You’ve been good for two minutes and already you’re gifting them the title. Stop fucking losing to shit teams you pricks.
