It was so much fun to read about everyone’s AOM acceptances! My paper, sadly, got rejected. I was so excited about the ideas therein and was looking forward to sharing them to get feedback:( I emailed the chair of the division and got the kindest and most sincere reply.
My first sabbatical in 9 years starts tomorrow. I am thinking: 1. how did I write as well as do all the other stuff. 2. how to disconnect for the next six months. Any tips to assist with the transition?
@nickmdeal@ryanmacneil Agreeing with @nickmdeal - @ryanmacneil, your sabbatical journal is enriched by how you explore the aesthetic dimension of reflexivity. You’re inspiring me to bring my whole self back to my research and writing.
@ryanmacneil Best part of seeing @ryanmacneil for an epic conflab was watching him flip through his sabbatical journal, full of colour, texture and vibrant ideas. Beautiful sensory reactions. Aesthetically informed reflexivity at its best! Perhaps share you favourite page with the world?

Nothing puts kids off reading more than being told they are bad at it. Or that they are reading the wrong things. Or that books are there just to do them good. The whole of life is reading. Books are just one bit of that.
