TB is one of the most common co-infections faced by People Living With HIV. If left unchecked, TB could lead to death. To prevent this, we support health facilities in 7 states to provide TB Preventive Therapy (TPT) #APINInitiatives#ThisIsAPIN#EndTBNow#CheckAmO#WTBD2022
Next week, we will be at APHPN's 38th Annual Conference in Ilorin where our CEO, Dr Prosper Okonkwo will give the keynote lecture. His lecture & other presentations from APIN will be streamed on our Facebook page & Zoom. More info soon. #APINInitiatives#WorkAtAPIN#ThisIsAPIN
"Always have a willing hand to help someone, you might be the only one that does." - Roy T. Bennett

I don’t want to live in the kind of world where we don’t look out for each other. Not just the people that are close to us, but anybody who needs a helping hand. I can’t change the way anybody else thinks, or what they choose to do, but I can do my bit. – Charles de Lint
It’s Zero Discrimination Day. Discrimination has profound effects on health. For example, when #PLHIV are stigmatized, it discourages them & others from getting tested and getting treatment. This puts more people & communities at risk. #APINInitiatives#WorkAtAPIN
For sensitive groups, stigma from other patients at health facilities is a major barrier to being consistent with treatment schedules. In response, we set up One-Stop Shops (OSS) for patients in Benue State to receive HIV services in a friendly environment. #APINInitiatives
1 out of all 3 AIDS-related deaths are due to tuberculosis. Our lab team trained lab services providers in Benue & Plateau states to use continuous quality improvement to increase TB & HIV diagnosis and ensure that people who are positive can receive care early. #APINInitiatives
