DevSecOps Project Update – Completed Till CI

Today, we completed the project till the CI (Continuous Integration) stage.

What we did clearly and step by step:
• Launched EC2 instances (Ubuntu) on AWS
• Set up Docker and containerized the application
• Managed code using Git & GitHub
• Integrated security early using SonarQube and Trivy
• Set up Jenkins for CI automation

CI pipeline does:
✔ Pulls code from GitHub
✔ Runs code quality checks (SonarQube)
✔ Performs vulnerability scans (Trivy)
✔ Builds Docker image
✔ Pushes image to DockerHub
✔ Sends email notification after the run

Key takeaway:
CI is not about running pipelines.
CI is about validating every codechange automatically.
Next sessions will extend this into deployment, monitoring, and GitOps.
