@RevDaniel You’re already looking for a more enjoyable activity - good. One more thought is to look for a motivation that works better for you. For me, I like running fine, but getting myself out the door to do it can be tough. Then I realized that if I key it to discovery, I’m good.
How many neighborhood kids your parents could fit into the family car to take everyone to the skating rink when you didn’t care about things like seats and seatbelts.

@geekpondering@SwiftOnSecurity That sort of depends on what’s up with them, what that “next level” is, why you want them there instead of where they are and “who” you are.
Answer those questions & you can probably work it out on your own.
@BruceSaaaa@geekpondering@SwiftOnSecurity Unless you hired poorly, of course they want to do troubleshooting. If your performance targets make that difficult or even impossible, then that’s not a them problem.
Given his tenure on The Price is Right, that’s why most people today know Bob Barker and the RIP to the GOAT messages are all well-deserved… but myself, I’m gonna need a video of Bob reuniting a Vietnam-era military family on Truth Or Consequences to properly grieve. 😢 TIA
@chrisnunley Did you ask them if they have (and use) air conditioning whenever it gets into the 90’s wherever they are?
I bet they do.
90’s is definitely hot.
Recently there’s been a lot of discussion about scientists and TV meteorologists dealing with trolling or threatening messages when they communicate climate. I’ve been heavily involved in this space, so here are some thoughts that may help. 🧵 1/
@WeatherProf Many broadcast meteorologists are already the go-to person for anything remotely scientific. You’re a meteorologist - you can talk about earthquakes, right?
Depending on market size, I was TV met + general assignment reporter / health & science reporter / environmental reporter
@HowtoADHD And we didn’t just “pick” a week - each of us rated each week across several dimensions throughout the week and then gave an overall assessment too. Kiddo’s input was definitely an important element in all the feedback collected.
@HowtoADHD After all other adaptations were in place, we did a 3-week blind med trial w/ input from parents, teacher AND kiddo - low dose, high dose and placebo.
Everyone (blindly) picked low dose week as best week. Seemed like a good approach.
@manicsquirrel Exactly this. Boys got to do all the things I thought were cool. I never thought of myself as anything but a girl though, even when people thought it was strange that I was interested in sports and cars and such more than dolls and fashion and makeup.
@AlisonL Nice Kraken win tonight and it’s always great to see your analysis - thank you for your contributions.
Now, can I be shallow and ask if the sweater you wore tonight really has Kraken colors? Just got a glimpse & it was cool. Where does one find such a thing?
@StimmingGal@dunn_juliette This makes me wonder if there is some commonality in writing challenges for ND folks separate from those who are NT.
For instance, my bugaboo is run-on sentences. I know this now and look /correct for this. Usually with semicolons. ;)
