My advice to @XCreators and @elonmusk
If the goal is to boost original content on X, we must fix how creators are rewarded.
Right now, X aggregators and reposters - who simply copy videos, research, articles, and journalism from others - earn MUCH more than the people who actually do the hard work.
This discourages real creators: journalists, researchers, and producers who invest time, effort, and money into quality, original work.
The platform should prioritize and reward originality — not those who just repackage someone else's content for views and payouts.
Let the true creators, the ones breaking stories and building from scratch, get the recognition and compensation.
Support journalism and creativity by making sure the effort is what gets paid, not the theft.
We’re trying something new: we’re giving $1 million to the Top Article of the next payout period.
We're doubling down on what creators on 𝕏 do best: writing.
In 2026, our goal is to recognize high-value, high-impact content that shapes conversation, breaks news and moves culture.
Always a fun time helping out smaller creators. Shoutout to the kid @KingJames for doubling down on his YouTube channel for a second career as he starts his post basketball journey 😅

Yesterday I was talking to a contact from Tanzania about how much nuance gets lost in news coverage.
His account of the protests was so complex and layered compared to what I’d been seeing in the news. 🧵

In Kursi Village, Garissa County, a compassionate woman once rescued a stranded cheetah cub and lovingly raised it as her own for nearly two years - feeding, bathing, and even leashing it like a pet cat.
Through our Community & Wildlife Service Division, we learned of this extraordinary act of kindness. However, while her intentions were noble, keeping wildlife - even out of love - is against the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act (WCMA), which protects wild animals and ensures their wellbeing in their natural habitats.
The cheetah was safely taken in by KWS officers and handed over to our veterinary team, who conducted a full health check to ensure it was in good condition, collected samples for laboratory testing, and administered treatment for parasite control.
Now under expert care at the Nairobi Safari Walk, the cheetah continues to thrive as part of our conservation and education efforts.
We deeply appreciate the Good Samaritan’s compassion and remind all Kenyans that true coexistence means protecting wildlife where they belong - in the wild. #HumanWildlifeCoexistence #NairobiSafariWalk #TunzaMaliYako
