Today, 13 July marks the Punyathiti of legend Shri Baji Prabhu Deshpande, one of the most gallant and courageous Maratha warrior of all times, who laid down his life in the service of our Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The battle of Pawankhind was the last stand that took place at a mountain pass in the vicinity of Fort Vishalgad near Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The sacrifice of Shri Baji Prabhu inspires me to the hilt and instills a “never surrender” spirit. This battle reminds me of the famous quote “ surrender your weapons” and the answer was “ come and get them “. I follow it 💯 %.

Hello all. We urgently need everyones' help. Over 4 kms of South Goa's Chapoli hills have been burning for the last two days and no one is listening! Foul play is indeed suspected as several SOS calls have been sent to the airforce in Dabolim & Karwar for air firefighting relief only to be continuously ignored. Furthermore, no news channel has shared the news. All this has conveniently transpired after the govt has given a thumbs-up for a bypass tunnel to cut through the karmal ghats after a survey saying that it will not endanger any wildlife or residences and a direct order to cut 14,000 trees . Locals and well-wishers managed to contest this and get a stay order on the highway project just days before the fire started. We all know Goa has a lot of Leopards and some tigers amongst other wildlife. But why has Goa never declared its tiger territory, never mentioned in any of their tourism promotion? Because tigers means protected forest land . And protected forest land means no "development" . Please whether you live in Goa or not help us magnify our voice by sharing and forwarding this news. This is the same story across the country as corruption and chaos destroy our nature and wildlife. The fire is rapidly spreading and consuming all in its path and no help is coming till their next development target is "cleared out".
