The word "clutter" is terribly overused in the UX/design field, commonly serving as a superficial critique of decoration while often ignoring the design's true context.
I like that a core strategy of the AI industry is trying to convince everyone that they hate being alive and doing anything. That your only desire as a human being is to put out product and make money and get likes on social media. But you shouldn't enjoy any actual activity.

we’ve reduced "problem-solving" to mean "make it pretty and usable" when real problems are far messier and more systemic.
For the record this is why I've disassociated from the design class. They view every problem as a "design challenge" and their solutions too often look like this—useless graphic design exercises made for themselves, for the purpose of creating Good Design that wins design awards
