We recognize the pain and sadness experienced by Indigenous communities as a result of the discovery of the 215 Indigenous children’s bodies in Kamploops. There are no words for the loss these communities are feeling: the loss of their children, their language, their traditions.
Although we wish we could go back in time and right these wrongs, we cannot. What we can do, is listen to Indigenous peoples, educate ourselves on their history and support Indigenous peoples on their road to healing from all that has been taken from them.
