@peterbramah @magicfm So glad I am not the only one! This glitch is happening for me too.

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

@magicfm @HelloRayoHelp the live station Magic Classical is not playing instead it has Only Hits Radio. Glitch needs fixing please! Missing the programme this weekend 😢 This is on the rayo app and magic classical app plus website

Visceral initial emotional response can (needs to be!) developed into a more long-term, detailed and considered one. #SHCG2024

[Social History Curators Group @SHCG1]

In her first-ever conference presentation (welcome!) Gemma Esvelt from Y Lanfa Powysland Museum is explaining her thesis on emotional encounters with historical fashion, textiles and clothing. Can and should we embrace those responses? @powyscc #SHCG2024 #Cymru

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

@especiallysarah Love this! Especially younger generations enjoying our previous fashions

[Social History Curators Group @SHCG1]

@NTShaneLogan @MuseumsAssoc Diolch!

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

Day 2 @MuseumsAssoc
conference in the Glasshouse which is an amazing building - plus it’s my birthday! What a way to celebrate my 30th ☺️

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

Also it’s scary (to me) to be sitting with people either side of me who have never heard of the stolen generation but also this talk is an opportunity to open up that discussion.

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

Sitting here in Gateshead hearing such familiar Aussie accents is making me feel a bit homesick. I grew up on Noongar country. Thank you for a fascinating talk. @MuseumsAssoc

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

Catching the train in autumn time is so worth it. Love seeing all the lovely colours in the trees.
On the way to @MuseumsAssoc Conference

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

@RoscoMck1 @MuseumsAssoc Yep! Train cancellations for me too

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

I’m very excited to be going to the MA conference for the first time.
Looking forward to meeting lots of new people and sharing a love for all things museums!

@Steffiburge @MuseumsAssoc Fab! Looking forward to it ☺️

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

@Carolcdt I have them too. It always feels weird displaying something in a museum when you have it at home.

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

My mini exhibition celebrating 70yrs of Laura Ashley is still on display at Llanidloes Museum & Library.

The pink dress is my favourite!

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

@KateJames09 Oh wow that is amazing!

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

@AldenBrien That’s incredibly helpful.
I used to work for LA too, was certainly a perk getting to wear the clothing

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

@suzkabode They were such good quality, I did notice the generous pockets on the 1980s dresses.

[Gemma Esvelt @GemmaEsvelt]

@AldenBrien Ooh do you remember what year? This one I found tricky to date ms went for late 1980s to mid 1990s
