2/ More prior advanced-therapy failures in the 50mg arm: 46.2% vs 39.4% (25mg) and 37.5% (placebo). More heavily pre-treated = higher baseline cancer risk.
1/ Underappreciated $ABVX ABTECT maintenance data slide. Placebo 44-week completion was just 34.3% vs 78.8% (25mg) and 82.1% (50mg). Placebo fewer patient years = less surveillance = fewer chances to detect malignancy.
@Antifunbw@A_May_MD And the data will be published and that paper and how the scientific community digests it will be much more meaningful then how investors react to PR? Or is this a naive view?
@Antifunbw@A_May_MD “Stuck taking this to market”. Could this really be? Yes, PR could have been handled more carefully, but could the initial market reaction have such a big impact on getting the drug to market? BP knows how to read the data, multiple potential interested parties.
@JackMan724444@Banana_Oncology@drrichjlaw A lot of retail has moved to IBKR. Accounts like @TheProfInvestor (120k followers) have posted on $abvx (based on chart analysis!). Trust me, a lot of retail was in $abvx until the data dropped.
@badinvestor99 It is surprising how people put nmsc cases in the same basket with the other malignancy cases (only 3 left). What is your background? Genuinely curious.
@avidresearch But does entyvio protect from cancer given the phase 3 data? No, they were just lucky that the cancer cases landed in the placebo arm.. and we got unlucky in the abivax trial.
@avidresearch No, this is only descriptive. If you look at NEJM paper phase 3 there are 3 cancer cases in the placebo group (n=275) and 1 cancer case in the vedolizumab arm (n=620). Later publications also found no malignancy safety issue
$abvx breast and prostate cancers detected within <1 year of starting a drug were subclinically present before the first dose. These take years to develop. The cancer rates are an artefact of small numbers, very unfortunate.
@deTerrobster@trader_casper@mvcinvesting You are part of the reason why so many investors on x only boast about their wins and hide their losses and mistakes. It creates the illusion that there are some that always make the right calls. MVC is transparent and open about both mistakes and wins. Anybody can unsubscribe.
@pepemoonboy Doesn’t this say more about sour upcoming taxes then about your returns? I am really curious. Theoretically you could be down YTD and still have realized profits. I know you’re doing well but I think these kind of posts can be misleading. Correct me if I’m wrong
@unemon1 This means a lawyer connected to Abivax and biotech dealmaking just joined a powerhouse M&A firm. If there was a M&A they would take care of it but it doesn‘t mean one is happening now
@SizeInvestor What does it matter though what $abvx stock price does before maintenance data? Dip gives those an opportunity to buy that want to and the price action that matters comes after maintenance data.
