Found this interesting article about social movements and how technology has helped advanced them. This one hits in the topic of the conflict in Syria. #CommOnTech311 https://t.co/S4tvFHESYy
@ProfB10 I think this type of marketing is how movements start now a days. One hashtag or retweet and all of a sudden everyone knows about it and there are more supporters tht join #CommOnTech311
@ProfB10 In order to protect my privacy online the first thing that come to mind is privacy setting on social media. I control as much as possible what people can see on my timelines, only friends, and i always have to accept. Also passwords; my passwords are long!
Since tech. Is advancing everyday.... I ran into this post and I thought about communication and how tech. Has changed our behaviors & those of future generations. What do you all think? #CommOnTech311
Reminder: Privacy is a basic human right.
We believe everyone should have private access to an open web where they can express themselves, share information, and learn without being tracked, surveilled, or censored. https://t.co/59MOylCTHI

@ProfB10 Times change and in order to accommodate I think laws should change as well. Laws are suppose to protect the individuals and keep society functioning. In order to keep information safe people should be educated and laws should be put in place to educate us.
We talked in class about robots, look at how much money they industry would be making by 2023. 🤑Follow the link for the article on robots and the market. #commontech311 https://t.co/CDccpLgWWC
@EmiliyaDale@ProfB10 I think it’s crazy and ironic how technology is supposed to facilitate communication and help us improve our lives and make things easier and all these promises yet they create a lot of stress bc we are so attached.... #commontech311
@raeganboleneus I am new to Twitter but it seems as if this social media is used as a platform to market. I think it’s hard to knw what to to believe and we need to do outside research in order to formulate ideas/ opinions.
I needed customer support in order to set up my fitbit.I go onto the website & it said Twitter, live chat or call. what do you think is the way to communicate in these situations? Rich or lean media? #CommonTech311
I have been thinking of “free riders” who are free riders? Is everyone that does not support free rider? I have never edited a Wikipedia page but I have used it in the past. I guess sometimes we don’t notice when we are doing it. Have you ever been a “free rider”? #commontech311
@AlexisGoyeneche I think one of the biggest privacy issues are the cookies. Everywhere we go it seems like somone listens to our conversations #CommOnTech311
Scrolling through my feed I see ads left and right. This made me think about the diffusion of tech. Nd how people have adapted to this way of advertising. How advertising has changed over time. What do you think about the marketing and the diffusion of tech.? #CommOnTech311
@ProfB10@LaurenAmador7 @avesthompson1 I think a comm. aspect of this can be the fact that people can be connected and responsive thanks to the facial recognition. One of the many def. of comm. is being able to exchange information and being able to communicate who these people are can be helpful #CommonTech311
This is a great way to use the media to advertise, the way companies promote themselves and reach out to the Public is at the tip of people’s fingers. This goes back to boundaries we were talking about in class #CommOnTech311
