It helps employees with stock based compensation, dividends help get a more stable institutional investor base which could reduce volatility. And if they have tons leftover even after their expansion ideas, why not? It’s not like there isn’t truckloads more where that came from. Gavin said they should copy nVidia and loan it out as backstops with rev share.
