SOF CHRONICLES PART 2: At the train station the board shows my train and another train will be arriving at the same time on the same platform. I have tickets for both trains , but one is going to Barcelona, the other ends at the border….
I proceed to the help desk, wait in line, when it’s finally my turn, and older French woman walks out of nowhere and stands in front of me , says “Le non” and proceeds to try and cut me then asks “oh are you in rush?”, I tell her the situation and she laughs and says fine. (Umm HUH?)
I get to the help desk and ask if I actually need the connection or can they give me a direct ticket, since it appears these trains are going to the same place. The cashier informs me that “this would be impossible they are separate trains monssieur”.
Guess what , the train just changes the number when you get to the connecting stop.
Why is everything made so difficult?
SOF CHRONICLES PART 1: Do the French assume other peoples time doesn’t matter?
Yesterday in the SOF, I called an Uber to the train station an hour early to go 15 minutes away. The uber driver was 4 minutes out (great). I go to the pick up point and check my phone , *looks again* oh he’s now driving the opposite direction and has messaged me “I take my other client somewhere first and come back”. OH.
Good thing I ordered an hour ahead. He gets back and it is 90 degrees outside , no AC. We ask for air conditioning, no problem my friend… sets it to the lowest setting like he has released an ice age.
What’s with the AC and the French is it “forbidden”? 😂
@uptonaccounting Sound pretty inexpensive. Did the rentals have additions / deletions , lots of activity in the P&L? $24K seems like the deal of a lifetime.
Retained earnings doesn’t roll, AR is negative , credit cards are debit balances. Multiple inter company accounts that aren’t shown on the related parties balance sheet, I could go on..
@Jason______A@mariuslsocials Correct unless you are in a state that taxes S-corps. Also if an entrepreneur I would make all my business entities C-corps, with hopes of selling them off in five years as 1202 QSBS stock, which allows for $10M capital gain exclusion 😂
Client has a massive brokerage account w/ RBC (8 figures) that for some reason the broker acquired 70 units of EPP PTP a few years ago in. Has sold off 2 units a year every year since. I feel like this is just a deliberate attempt to screw with the tax preparer here #TaxTwitter
